Tire Inflator in plain terms

This section holds a single product, and rather than pad it out with a range that does not exist, here is what a cordless inflator is actually for. Correct tyre pressure is worth a few per cent of fuel economy and a good deal of tyre life, and it drifts by roughly one PSI a month on its own, faster in cold weather. The reason most cars run under-inflated is not ignorance, it is that the garage air line involves a detour, a queue and a gauge of unknown honesty.

A preset inflator removes all three. You set the figure the door pillar asks for, connect it, and it stops on its own. There is no gauge-and-guess loop, no walking back and forth, and no need to trust someone else's dial. Around fifty-five seconds per car tyre from 30 to 35 PSI means a full set is a five-minute job on a driveway, and up to sixteen tyres per charge means it will not run flat halfway round.

The other three presets are the reason it earns its shelf space between services: a bicycle tyre wants far higher pressure than a car tyre and a football wants far lower, and both are jobs a floor pump does badly. The 12 V lead is the roadside answer, because an inflator that only works when it is charged is not much use on the one occasion it is genuinely needed.

Common questions

Can it seat a tubeless tyre?

No. This is a top-up compressor for pressure, not a high-volume tank, so it will inflate a tyre that is already on the rim but it will not blow a tubeless bead into place.

What pressure units does it read?

PSI, BAR, KPA and kg/cm2, switched on the unit itself, which covers car door pillars, bicycle sidewalls and pressure charts from either side of the Atlantic.
